Useful Websites

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please find below a whole range of website-based resources that you can use to keep your children ‘ticking over’. We are acutely aware that every family will approach the challenging situation we find ourselves in, in different ways and you must do what you feel is best for you, hence why we have not been prescriptive in what we are asking. You should feel no pressure to do a specific activity, at a specific time  –  you are your child’s primary educator – but the information is there for you should you wish to use it.

If you do wish to provide some home learning experiences for your child then for years 1-6 we suggest that you look at the Hamilton website (link below) as they have compiled weekly packs for English and Maths. For each day there are a range of activities that will guide you through elements of the curriculum. These are going to be updated on a regular basis.

As well as these resources, please don’t forget that one of the most important and impactful things you can do with your child is reading. Find a book they enjoy, whatever it may be, and read for pleasure, talk about what happened in the chapter and what might happen next. Please don’t underestimate how useful this will be.

It is important that you don’t feel overwhelmed by this situation and we are here to help and guide as necessary via our work email (term time).
