OPAL

Mrs Tonge is our OPAL Lead and she works hard to ensure that there are rich and varied play opportunities available to the children every lunchtime.

We are pleased to be working towards becoming an OPAL school. OPAL stands for Outdoor Play and Learning and it supports the development of positive play experiences in the school day. Play is not just for fun, there are numerous benefits to a child who partakes in rich and varied play experiences.

The School Council have worked with Mrs Binks to develop a Play Charter to be followed by children in school. We want play to be fun and exciting but also for everyone to be safe too. The play charter can be found here. Play Charter

More information about what OPAL is and how it benefits our children can be found in this guide for parents.
